As of Friday 1st May, Bannockburn Medical Practice, Hallpark Medical Practice and Kersiebank Medical Practice are under new ownership/control. Collectively they are known as Forth Medical Group.

From Monday 18th May 2020 the UK Chief Medical Officers have updated Coronavirus symptoms as below:

New continuous cough OR fever OR loss of / change in sense of smell or taste

Everyone, including health and social care workers, should self-isolate if they develop a new continuous cough or fever or loss of/ change in smell or taste.

The individual’s household should also self-isolate for 14 days as per the current guidelines. The individual should stay at home for 7 days from the onset of their symptoms and until they no longer have a fever.

If the GP or nurse has contacted you they may decide that they need to see you but not necessarily in person. They may ask to video link in with you, if they do so the link to follow is:

The practice has been advised that it is currently taking about 7 days for your local pharmacies to process repeat prescriptions once received from your GP practice.

We would be grateful if patients could order only what they need, 7 days in advance. Further advice and information is available by accessing the link below.

Your patience and understanding is appreciated during this very difficult time.

Please can we request that patients only order the medications that they need following their normal ordering patterns, as early requests will be refused. We thank you for your co-operation.

Notice: If you require a self isolation certificate for your employer please follow the link below.

Bannockburn Medical Practice

Health Centres and Medical Practices across the UK are dealing with an increase in enquiries due to Coronavirus.

The increased workload during this rapidly evolving situation puts increased pressure on the services and staff members.

We are working very hard to ensure we offer up to date advice and are prepared going forward.

Due to the rapidly evolving picture, we have taken the decision to suspend ALL routine services and appointments from Wednesday 18th March 2020.
This means that staff will NOT be able to offer you a pre-bookable appointment and the Practice will be triaging all calls.

We will review this situation on a daily basis and make the necessary changes to our service provision as things change.

If you require general advice regarding coronavirus, please phone the general advice helpline on 0800 028 2816 or look online –

Welcome to Bannockburn Medical Practice

Please note that the practice has recently changed and we no longer accept patients registered in Plean, Cowie, Torwood or Sauchenford. All patients registered with Bannockburn in any of the aforementioned areas will now be registered with, and seen by, Tor Medical Group. You can access Tor Medical Group by calling 01786 817118.

Flu Vaccination Clinics

Flu vaccination will be held on Monday 14th October in the health centre BY APPOINTMENT ONLY for all patients over the age of 65, and for those under 65 who are deemed to be 'at risk'. Please contact us on 01786 813435 to arrange an appointment for your flu vaccination now. Patients who are eligible for flu vaccination will receive communication from the practice week commencing Monday 16th September either by text message or by letter. Please ensure that we have your up to date mobile telephone number to ensure you do not miss out on important communications from us!

Appointments system and self help advice

Self help advice, symptom guidance, and reassurance for lots of common issues can be found at NHS Inform

We have recently made changes to the appointment booking system so that patients can now book GP appointments further in advance than 1 week. GP appointments are now available as far in advance as they are available on the clinical system. Should you need access sooner than the next routine appointment, your call will be triaged by our team of Advanced Practitioners and you will be allocated an appropriate appointment. This may NOT be with a GP and will be with the person most suited to address your issue.

Your GP might not always be the best person to deal with your call. NHS Inform's series of guides below will help keep you right.

You can find out information about medical conditions and diseases through our patient information leaflets as well as keeping up to date with all the latest practice news and developments. You can also find information about the various services and clinicians on offer in the slides below:
