jane and staceyWelcome to the Bannockburn Medical Practice Website

Please note that the practice has recently changed and we no longer accept patients registered in Plean, Cowie, Torwood or Sauchenford. All patients registered with Bannockburn in any of the aforementioned areas will now be registered with, and seen by, Tor Medical Group. You can access Tor Medical Group by calling 01786 817118.

We are a health board run practice which differs from the 'traditional' model of a GP practice. As such we provide consultations with specialised health care professionals. We have Advanced Nurse Practitioners  who are highly experienced nurses and are able to see patients with a  range of minor ailments such as urine infections and chest infections amongst many others. Our Extended Scope Practitioners (ESP) in physiotherapy can see all adults who have problems with their joints or muscles including their back. The Primary Care Mental Health Nurses can see adults who feel they are mentally struggling and require further input.

Our aim is to provide the highest quality health care available under the NHS to all our patients with a well trained and motivated primary care health team.

Through this website we hope to improve our services to all our patients and enable you to find the information required at the click of a mouse.

We have recently made changes to the appointment booking system so that patients can now book GP appointments further in advance than 1 week. GP appointments are now available as far in advance as they are available on the clinical system. Should you need access sooner than the next routine appointment, your call will be triaged by our team of Advanced Practitioners and you will be allocated an appropriate appointment. This may NOT be with a GP and will be with the person most suited to address your issue. You can find out information about medical conditions and diseases through our patient information leaflets as well as keeping up to date with all the latest practice news and developments. You can also find information about the various services and clinicians on offer in the slides below:

Patient Access (online GP appointments/prescriptions)

Once you have collected your registration forms from reception, click here to register here for Patient Access - our online service that allows you to book GP appointments and request repeat prescriptions when it's convenient to you. (Your registration document is only valid for 5-7 days. Please process it as soon as you've collected it).
